Øygarden offers a wide range of activities. Some are close by, but if you have a car while staying with us, there are even more things to explore.
Meet the animals
Hellehaugen Gård
Just a short walk away, you’ll find a nearby farm with many different animals to see, including llamas, rabbits, horses, and pigs.
Please remember not to enter the enclosures or feed the animals without permission. Many of the animals can still be seen up close from a safe distance.
Bowling at Sartor Shopping Center
Experience the excitement of Bowling!
The bowling hall offers a variety of lanes, equipment, and packages to suit your needs. Come and enjoy a fun time with family and friends. In addition to bowling, they also offer light snacks and have shuffleboards available.

What movie would you like to see?
Odeon Cinema is located inside Sartor Shopping Center, just 25 minutes away from Panorama Hotel & Resort.
Shopping
Many consider shopping to be an activity as well. Perhaps you're tempted by some window shopping and a treat at a café?
Sartor Shopping Center is just 25 minutes away from us and has 110 stores and 15 dining spots.
There's plenty of parking in the large coastal city garage.
Go-Kart
An unforgettable, action-packed experience. A great activity for both adults and children!
Bergen Gokartsenter AS is located in the Coastal City Garage in Straume, just 25 minutes away from Panorama Hotel & Resort.
Public Swimming
In our municipality, we have four swimming pools available for public use. The closest one is just 3 minutes away from us, located at Stranda School.
Pump track
Just 15 minutes away you’ll find Spildepollen Sykkelpark, a great asphalt pump track and bike park with jump lines of varying difficulty.
The park is free to use for everyone.
The North Sea Maritime Museum
The North Sea Maritime Museum opened in April 1998 and tells the story of the resistance movement along the coast and the terror that destroyed Telavåg during World War II.
At the North Sea Maritime Museum, you'll find exhibitions and events for both adults and children throughout the year. Some are indoors, and some are outdoors.
Children (under 18 years old) can enter for free.
Activity Trail
In this beautiful trail, just 5 minutes away from the hotel (by car), there are various activities to enjoy along the hiking route. By the sea, there's a platform with tables, and several fitness equipment stations are set up in the forest.
You can either continue on a loop trail or return the same way.
Library
On the island, there are 3 libraries, located in Skogsvåg, Rong, and Straume. Øygarden Community Hub and Library is a free, accessible, and inclusive meeting place.
Here, you can borrow books and other materials, study, work, read newspapers, participate in various activities and cultural events, and much more.
