OUR STORY

Panorama means broad perspective, as "Kringsjå" would have said. We aim to facilitate a broad perspective, not only in the form of beautiful views over Austefjorden, Korsfjorden, and the entrance to Bergen, but also in a figurative sense, through inspiration, new knowledge, and expanded horizons.

Here, you will not only find high-quality facilities and beautiful views, but also that little extra needed to make your event an experience. Inspiring surroundings, exciting architecture, and a wide range of activity and experience offerings ensure that your event will be remembered with joy.

To mark the complete transformation the building has undergone, it was also decided to give the hotel a brand-new name. On the foundations of the old Marsteinen Fjordhotel, the hotel now stands, architecturally blending with the characteristic nature surrounding it.

History

The site has been operating as a hotel since 1989, under the name Marsteinen Fjordhotell.

Norlandia Hotel & Resort started and operated the hotel until 2008, in collaboration with Statoil as the largest client. The hotel was strategically located in the coastal gap, right next to Falck Nutec AS's safety center for offshore operations.

New owners

In 2007, the hotel got new owners, and extensive renovations were carried out.

The hotel reopened on March 1, 2011, now featuring a new facade, an additional floor of hotel rooms, unique design, and improved outdoor areas. A new conference department was also built, including a large banquet hall, meeting rooms, a gym, and several other excellent facilities.

The new owners are Marsteinen Eiendom, responsible for the ownership and maintenance of the buildings. Panorama Hotel & Resort leases the buildings from Marsteinen Eiendom and operates the commercial hotel business.
