PANORAMA HOTEL & RESORT

AN ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS CHOICE

We are a hotel surrounded by nature, which is one of our primary attractions. Therefore, it's no surprise that we are inspired to offer our guests an environmentally friendly and sustainable stay at Panorama Hotel & Resort.

We want to share our environmental commitment with all our visitors. Caring for the environment creates positive ripple effects, and we contribute where we can.

"Miljøfyrtårn"

Since 2011, our hotel has been certified as "Miljøfyrtårn" (Green Key), which means we set requirements for our suppliers and the products we use.

We adhere to a range of criteria aimed at reducing our environmental footprint across the board. For instance, our kitchen focuses on high-quality locally sourced food and works to minimize food waste through partnerships with local businesses that receive our canteen services. Our linens and towels come from a Swan-labeled laundry service, and we prioritize waste sorting for recycling. The hotel offers ample facilities for electric vehicles with multiple charging stations. Additionally, we assist in arranging shared transportation options to reduce emissions and have a dedicated bus for group transport.

Plastic cleaning

The ocean and coastline are integral to our identity.

Many are concerned about the issue of plastic pollution in our time. Businesses like ours, committed to social responsibility and wanting to contribute positively, have participated in beach cleanups in our local areas during their stays. Fresh air, beautiful scenery, and contributing to the environment together create a meaningful experience.

Renewable energy

A building that accommodates many people requires significant energy for heating and cooling.

This also presents a unique opportunity to reduce a substantial environmental footprint by choosing the right energy source. Panorama Hotel & Resort has invested in renewable energy. Through its own energy center, the hotel harnesses heat from seawater to provide clean and green energy. Additionally, located far out at sea on Marsteinen Lighthouse, we will soon be supplied with energy from solar panels, provided by the foundation that owns the lighthouse.

Longevity

Can design be more or less sustainable? Yes, we believe so.

Our interiors are designed to last. They are not replaced every other year to follow new trends. This is the result of investing time in our choices, selecting quality, and opting for a style that reflects who we are.

We welcome our guests to an eco-friendly stay!
